Description
The Vitibot Bakus is a viticultural straddle robot that integrates a wide range of modular tools for efficient work in vineyards. The robot uses RTK GPS technology for its movements. It is fully electric and can detect unusual changes in topography that can cause Bakus to slow down and stop. Several safety elements are present for the detection of obstructions. The robot is equipped with 2 RGB cameras that are able to detect humans and it can work for more than 12 hours autonomously with four Lithium Ion batteries
Drive train type
Fully electric.
Characteristics
The Bakus has a pulling force of 1800 Kg and 48 kw of power. It has a connected tool holder for soil works. There is a lifting system with a hydro-electric cylinder, a maintenance-free stroke of 680 mm, able to embed mechanical or electric tools. Bakus is modular and can also perform tasks such as confined spraying with recovery panels or trimming.
Navigation system
The robot uses RTK GPS technology for its movements. Plots are mapped, and maps will be deployed in the robot. This allows a displacement with a centimetric precision. Several safety elements are present on the machine for the detection of obstructions. There are contactors under the body, bumpers at the front and rear of each wheel, human detection cameras, emergency stop buttons and a remote emergency stop button for the operator that is supervising Bakus.
