Trimble’s Autopilot is an automated, hands-free, steering system that installs directly into the hydraulic system. It plugs into many guidance-ready vehicles, minimizing the need for additional equipment.
What is the most striking detail of your system?
Fields, boundaries and AB-lines are shown in Google Earth so that minimises the risk of selecting the wrong one.
How is it fitted?
Typically, these systems are installed by trained dealers. Some experienced users do it themselves. Initial installation takes roughly 2 days. Swapping between vehicles is about 5 to 10 minutes.
Can it be fitted on pre-installed or factory fitted vehicle components?
Yes, details depending on tractor brand and type.
Can you take the system to another vehicle?
By using quick release mounts, you can take it off in about 5 minutes and putting it on the other tractor will also take about 5 minutes.
What happens if satellite or correction signals lack or fail?
Trimble xFill technology provides 20 minutes of RTK signal backup, free of charge.
What patterns are available?
Straight AB and A+, curve, pivot, headland, tramlines & access paths, field & infield boundaries, map point features such as obstacles or POI, map line features such as drains, fence or ditch, map area features such as wet zones.
How often and at what costs is the software updated?
Trimble releases 2 major and 2 minor updates per year free of charge but dealers usually charge for labour. It’s recommended to only update if users face issues or if an update offers improved features for their operation.
Which licenses/unlocks are available and at what costs?
Different accuracy levels, Isobus VT and TC, TC-GEO, VRA, NextSwath automated headland turning, FieldLevel II land leveling and TrueTracker implement steering.
