Belgian machinery manufacturer Keestrack developed an electric tractor. The Keestrack B1e bears a close resemblance to the Rigitrac SKE 40 from Swiss tractor manufacturer Rigitrac. No wonder, as the manufacturers work closely together.
Like the Rigitrac SKE 50 electric tractor, the Keestrack B1e offers a rated power of 54 hp (40 kW) and a maximum power of 87 hp (64 kW). Keestrack, which is predominantly known for machinery like crushers, screens, milling machines and stackers, started this project toghether with Rigitrac and Italian tractor manufacturer Goldoni.
The Swiss tractor manufacturer Rigitrac presented its SKE 50 electric model to the public for the first time in 2019. Keestrack will show its concept model of the B1e tractor this autumn.
With the collaboration, Rigitrac aims to increase its sales area of electric tractors. For Keestrack, the development of the B1e is a logical addition to the range of emission-free machines the Belgian manufacturer is already developing.

The tractors will be sold under the Keestrack brand. They will be built at Goldini’s factory in Italy. Rigitrac will continue to sell its electric tractors under its own name in the Alpine countries.
The small electric tractor by Keestrack will make its debut at the Bauma show (24-30 October) in Munich (Germany) and at the and Eima show (9-13 November) in Bologna (Italy).
It’s not yet known when the electric tractor will be available, or what it will cost.
Electric drive is already here for some types of farm vehicles, but is it a practical reality for mainstream tractors or will it remain an engineer’s dream? In this article from 2017, Future Farming looked at the technology.
