Positioning, navigation and obstacle avoidance are the key points of robotic lawn mowers and fusion positioning technology, such as RTK+ultrasonic/IMU/vision, is one of the mainstream technologies. The fusion of RTK and sensor can provide centimetre level position accuracy in real time. Harxon provides OEM GNSS antennas and smart antennas for robotic lawn mower RTK positioning.
The main part of the smart antenna HX-ME401A/HX-ME402A is Harxon OEM GNSS Antenna HX-CSX231A (cost-effective and high-performance antenna especially designed for robotic lawn mowers) and the integrated module is Unicore UM860 & UM980 (UM960 is based on the Nebulas IV™ SoC, able to track frequencies of all GNSS systems and output high-precision RTK positioning; UM980 supports all currently available constellations and frequencies. It features a 50Hz RTK data update rate, and supports PPP, including E6 HAS and BDS B2b.) The integrated design effectively reduces the size and weight of the antenna, ensures more precise matching between antenna and module. It also optimises the signal transmission path, reducing signal attenuation and delay, also with excellent out-of-band rejection performance. The antenna and module are well compatible with each other, simplifying the development process and reducing costs for engineers, which greatly improves the overall reliability of the system.
Harxon HX-SE402A/HX-SE403A is full-band full-frequency OEM GNSS antenna that supports GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS, IRNSS, SBAS and L-Band. It is integrated with a low profile radio antenna that supports 858-878MHz / 902-928MHz radio frequency band, which meets the current demands of devices needing both navigation and communication capabilities. The compact integration of GNSS antenna and radio antenna ensures space efficiency and excellent electromagnetic compatibility, making it ideal for integration into robotic lawn mower positioning system. The radio antenna features a superior low-profile design, facilitating seamless integration with GNSS antennas and making the entire OEM GNSS antenna system easy to incorporate into positioning systems. Traditional radio antennas are whip-shaped and nearly 20cm long. However, Harxon has developed innovative low-profile technology that achieves the same functionality with a height of only about 10mm
HX-CUX014A is a high gain, low profile and compact active GNSS antenna that provides reliable and consistent positioning services for high dynamic applications such as UAV, robotic lawn mowers and autonomous vehicles. It features small size, high sensitivity and low power consumption. HX-CSX231A is a high-performance OEM GNSS antenna especially designed for robotic lawn mowers, featuring cost-effective and compatibility. It adopts a multi-feed design scheme, achieving the coincidence of the phase centre and geometric centre. Both the two antennas can guarantee stable phase centre variation as well as excellent multi path and out-of-band mitigation, able to reach millimetre level accuracy. In addition to their full-band versions, these antennas are available in L1+L2 and L1+L5 versions, catering to different customers’ needs.
OEM antennas often face challenges such as detuning caused by the local environment, which can significantly impact their performance. To address this issue, Harxon provides tuning services. These services are designed to optimise the integration of OEM antennas into end-user modules, ensuring that they function at their best despite environmental variations. In addition to custom tuning, Harxon also offers customisation services tailored to meet the specific needs and requests of customers. This means that whether you need different cables, connectors or frequency, Harxon can provide solutions that are precisely aligned with your requirements. Furthermore, Harxon offers expert guidance and advice for your positioning solution design, helping you seamlessly integrate the antenna into your positioning system for optimal performance and reliability.
