Fast growing Chinese Huida Tech moves into Vietnam and Mexico

Huida Tech has already sold 2,000 HD540Pro drones, and is capable of producing 20,000 of these drones per year. Vice President Chen Qidong of Huida Tech says the company has scaled production, which leads to faster product iteration and better supply chain quality. The agricultural UAV adopts a six-rotor design, and can carry a 40-litre spraying load or 50-kilogram spreading box.

In Vietnam, the company has signed a strategic partnership with dealer Agri Fly. Huida Tech has sent technicians and regional managers to Vietnam to set up operations and meet with local customers as part of the Agri Fly cooperation. Huida Tech provides customers there with comprehensive technical support and on-site coordination through professional after-sales support.

Spraying nutrients and pesticides

Huida Tech also offers the integrated HD408 autopilot navigation system with modular design in Vietnam. Independently developed and produced by Huida Tech, over 30,000 units of the HD408 have been installed worldwide. It has assisted farm machinery operation in a total of more than 40 million acres of farmland.

Huida Tech has also signed an agreement with Mexican dealer ORBITECH. There, the drones will be mainly used to spray nutrients and pesticides in local orchards. The fruit tree mode of the drone improves its working efficiency by up to 60 percent, Huida Tech says, while also better controlling the number of pesticides used, reducing material waste.

Mountainous environment

ORBITECH-manager Josue Isai Valdez Reyes says the Ensanada region of Mexicali is mountainous and poses difficulties for fruit growers when manually spraying nutrients and pesticides on blue gum trees. “But with the 360-degree rotating radar of the drone, and its ability to autonomously avoid obstacles, this operation is safer and more efficient. In just four hours, a team of three completed spraying over 40 hectares.”

In the past three years, Huida Tech has invested a total of US $ 21.92 million into research and development, which accounted for 28.5% of total revenue.
