The new solutions will launch in Brazil beginning in early 2019 for growers of sugarcane, soybean, corn and cotton, and will launch in the United States for the 2020 crop cycle for corn and soybean growers. Solinftec’s offerings will complement the fleet and farm solutions already available through AGCO’s Fuse smart farming portfolio.
Additionally, AGCO and Solinftec will be discussing ways to integrate the Solinftec portfolio into South America’s recently launched Farm Solutions program as well as possible integrations and APIs with other Fuse products.

In order to get a better understanding of what the partnership between AGCO and Solinftec means for farmers, we asked AGCO how the integration of Solinftec solutions can benefit farmers.
“Before we get started, it is important to explain the challenge the AGCO and Solinftec partnership is solving. With the transition to digital agriculture, farmers need to collect information about all farm processes (machinery, weather, soils, crops, etc.) in a real-time, consolidated platform that enables faster and smarter decisions.”
AGCO:
The sheer volume of data available today makes it difficult to record operations just using brain power, a notebook or a spreadsheet
“Growers need to make decisions quickly to guarantee high yield and profitability, and these decisions are very complex. In addition, farmers need the ability to document every single operation on the farm to identify all positive and negative variables. Yet the sheer volume of data available today makes it difficult to record operations just using brain power, a notebook or a spreadsheet.”
“The AGCO and Solinftec partnership provides solutions including on-board computers, weather stations, soil sensors, telemetry networks, proprietary algorithms and the real-time generation of actionable insights producing operational efficiency and agronomic efficacy. With these offerings, farmers can check many things in the fields while they sit at the office, such as:
Once farmers have these kinds of information like in a single, easy to use platform, they can make more efficient decisions.”
“Solinftec’s solutions will work with AGCO products offered by our dealerships, and complement AGCO’s existing technology portfolio. Through this partnership, AGCO’s dealer network will be able to offer services that the farmers can take more advantage of AGCO equipment like tractors, planters, sprayers, combines, etc.”

“The AGCO and Solinftec partnership provides solutions that allow farmers to control all farm activities at the office in real-time. Farmers will spend less time and money on scouting and checking if there are any issues going on in the field. Solinftec delivers a service to farmers in solving any challenges quickly when they occur – a farmer does not need to wait until an operation is finished to see a map to find what went wrong or right in the field. Now, the farmer receives a warning in real-time and can make a decision swiftly and accurately to guarantee farm profitability.”

“It is important to notice that Solinftec solutions will be available in Brazil in early 2019 and in the United States in 2020, with the possibility of a global expansion. Solinftec’s solutions will be available through AGCO’s dealer network where any farmer can take advantage.”
“In order to use Solinftec’s tools, the farmer must contact their local dealer. The farmer is required to have an internet connection on the farm to transfer data to the cloud. In order to transfer and use the information in regions without a cellphone signal, the farmer will need a powerful communication network to send data to a platform that generates real-time information.

“Once the office has a connection with the cloud, the Solinftec platform will provide all the tools to manage logistics, operations, fleet, processes, agronomic and weather data. This allows the farmer to take control of the operations, people, and anything else necessary to run a successful business.”
“Let’s say a farmer identifies that they have an employee who is planting corn at a high speed. With this information, what is the farmer going to do? After a few minutes, the farmer will meet or call this employee. The next step should be to stop the planting operation and teach the employee about the negative consequences of planting corn at a high speed. If this employee keeps making the same mistake, the farmer may need to provide additional training. On the other hand, the farmer could find a new position for this employee.”

“What the farmer is going to do is up to him or her. What matters is that the farmer has the information on-hand and can make a decision to improve farm efficiency at the right time. This is the value the AGCO and Solinftec partnership brings to our customers.”
