Smarter data management and new NIR-sensor for Krone SPFH

Krone already had its own in-house developed NIR-sensor, a relatively simple and affordable sensor, but its possibilities are limited. Therefore Krone now offers a second option; a sensor built by the Italian company Dinamica Generale. Dinamica is also building NIR-sensors for New Holland’s SPFH.

It’s a trend that harvesting machinery are creating loads of data. But processing this data often is a problem. Every contractor knows only too well how pressed for time drivers get at harvest time. SmartConnect with auto-logging functionality is now a standard feature on all BiG X 680/780/880/1180 series models. The system was developed jointly by Krone Commercial Vehicles and Agricultural Machinery.

CCI.Control Mobile app

An alternative to the above is the CCI.Control Mobile app, which is a job based data management system. The app navigates the machine right up to the field gate, saving road time, maximising machine uptime and helping occasional drivers who have no knowledge of the area to easily find their way to the field. With all customer information stored in the on-board system, they can contact the farmer directly if there is a question.

Free BiG Data Tools software from Krone

The data collected is evaluated by the free BiG Data Tools software from Krone which prepares yield maps or PDF reports. Further useful features include a separate battery which allows SmartConnect to operate independently from the machine’s battery, ensuring that all the information is effectively communicated to the office even after the machine is shut off.
