John Deere introduces the MyOperations app in Europe, for remote access to machine and field data on the John Deere enterprise management platform.
The John Deere MyOperations app was already established in other markets such as Australia and North America. The MyOperations app for mobile phones and tablet computers accesses the data through an online John Deere Operations Centre account connected to a machine’s JDLink telematics system.
It is free and can be used with any internet-connected smart phone or other device running as a minimum iOS 10.0 or Android 4.4 operating software.

John Deere says that machine logistics, efficiency and productivity can all be improved by exploiting the information available through the app on where machines and what they are doing. In some cases, remote access to in-cab displays and making adjustments to settings is also possible.
As an initial roll-out, the app was made available to new owners of John Deere S700 combines for harvest 2018, who could remotely view and change several combine settings to optimise grain quality and sample quality, and to minimise losses.

This can be helpful to support an inexperienced operator – who only has to confirm the adjustments on the in-cab display to activate them – in order to achieve maximum performance and consistent quality, even in variable harvesting conditions.
Information available within the app includes machine location history; a selection of machine data subjects, such as engine utilisation and fuel levels; field maps and productivity data including areas worked; and annual crop summaries. Alerts for low fuel, geofence and curfew breaches, diagnostic codes, and other prioritised alerts and notifications can also be set up.
