DroneDock developer AeroVinci declared bankrupt

The company was working on autonomous inspection drones for agriculture, amongst others. Their so-called DroneDock technology does not require any human intervention to take off and map farmers’ fields and crops, similar to American Robotics. It wanted to reduce costs for the deployment of drones.

Drone Jack

AeroVinci already had a prototype for a ground station and a drone called Jack. It is a model that can take off vertically and land like a helicopter, but in the air it turns over and continues to fly like a plane. That way, it is supposed to be a lot more efficient.

It is not clear why AeroVinci went bankrupt. Just a year ago, the company secured a € 300.000 investment from investment fund UNIIQ and Delft Enterprises.
