Digital services – McCormick has them all

Could we have imagined this 20 or even 10 years ago?

Reach for your mobile phone, tap the My McCormick app icon and available in the palm of your hand is an unprecedented amount of information and data records about your tractor, the whole machinery fleet, including the implements the tractors operate and many aspects of the crops and farming business as a whole.

The power of digital solutions to plan and record field operations, and to inform and assist growers in the day-to-day management of their enterprise, has become an exceptional tool for improved efficiency, time-saving and cost reduction.

And all with an environmentally-friendly ‘green tinge’ that reflects potential reductions in fuel, fertilisers, pesticides and other significant inputs, making a contribution to a lower carbon footprint.

McCormick app

The My McCormick app is the doorway to a suite of solutions built-in to every medium- to high-horsepower McCormick tractor produced at the principal Argo Tractors factory in northern Italy since beginning of 2023.

Activated as and when owners and operators want to use them, the Pro Pack’s functions include an agronomic management system – McCormick Farm – developed in partnership with xFarm Technologies.

This includes field work and prescription application planning tools, cost monitoring and document export among its many features.

Sensor monitoring and so much more

It also embraces such advanced technologies as remote imaging and sensor monitoring of a wide range of crop and soil parameters, including soil moisture to help manage irrigation requirements, and specialised weather forecasting designed for agriculture.

The Satellite Pro function, meanwhile, provides remote multispectral imagery of crops every five days to highlight changes in crop growth based on the NDVI vegetation index, as well as of several other indices, with access to those images for a full 12 months providing plenty of opportunity for analysis.

All this on top of resources such as whole-farm field cropping and activity maps, crop storage and sales records, machine activity and cost records, pesticide selection and usage tools, and personal alerts for machine service intervals, input stock levels and other time-critical actions.

A key competitive advantage of My McCormick is that all these functions are fully integrated with established digital technologies such as remote diagnostics and telematics, the Farm Management Information System, satellite navigation and, with Agrirouter, the data collection and exchange system, the ability to communicate and share data amongst tractors and equipment from many leading manufacturers.
