Description
Maintains a structured acreage of strawberries where it tracks growth of the berries, picks when ripe, sanitizes and inspects and then weighs for deposit in consumer packaging. Each B8 Harvester has 16 independently working rotating heads, each carrying eight picking claws for high capacity. The harvester is said to match about 30 manual pickers working in regular outdoor beds. Separate leaf gathering, visual inspection and picking mechanism look complex, but optimise each stage, including clamshell berry cutters that deposit fruit onto an elevator carrying them to an upper deck for retail packing.
