Description
The XMachines X100 Ultra is a versatile, multipurpose robotic platform designed for agriculture. With the help of interchangeable attachments, it performs tasks such as seed sowing, weed removal, and spraying. The robot is available in two variants: a joystick-controlled version for manual operation and a fully autonomous version for hands-free operation. Powered by advanced AI and GPS technology, the X100 Ultra offers dual operation modes: autonomous navigation for hands-free efficiency and remote control for precise manual handling. Measuring only 43cm wide, its compact form-factor makes it a useful tool for small vegetable farms, greenhouses and backyard growers.
Drive train type
The X100 Ultra is powered by four independent motors and gearboxes, driven by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. This design allows each wheel to operate independently, enabling the robot to adapt seamlessly to uneven or soft terrains such as mud and slopes, ensuring reliable performance in challenging agricultural environments.
Characteristics
The X100 Ultra features linear electric actuators to lift attachments like the seeder, sprayer, and rotavator. It includes a 50-litre onboard spraying tank and can tow an additional 100 litres. Powered by a 4 HP drive system, the robot’s modular attachments add 1–5 HP as needed. The robot can deliver 48V electric output with a peak current of 80A to external implements. The robot achieves a top speed of 1.4m per second and operates up to a distance of 300 metres via remote control (line of sight). Equipped with Wi-Fi, a LTE SIM and GPS sensors, it ensures precise navigation and seamless remote operation with app based alerts.
Navigation system
The X100 Ultra achieves autonomous navigation through advanced technologies, including RTK GPS, stereo cameras, and a suite of onboard sensors. It ensures precise navigation and task execution with centimetre-level GPS accuracy and stereo cameras, enabling real-time obstacle and avoidance.
The robot’s internal algorithms utilise data from front-facing RGB cameras and proximity sensors to dynamically generate paths and adjust to changing conditions. Its AI vision system identifies crops, terrain, humans, and animals, ensuring safety and efficiency. Pre-mapped route planning, emergency stop features, and remote monitoring provide seamless user oversight.
