FIRA USA is on the verge of opening its gates. The premier event for ag robotics and automation for farming is to draw at least 2,500 growers and global ag robotics leaders to California.

In a few days, the Yolo County Fair in Woodland (California) will be crowded with farmers, growers and contractors, researchers, startups, students and farm machinery and field and harvest robot manufacturers from across the world. The demo area covers 20 hectares which is the largest demo area since FIRA USA was first organised in 2022.

Startup pitch sessions

While already commercially available robots will be demoing and on display, for eight startups, FIRA USA will be an event to remember. They have been selected to pitch their product and business model in front of a number of Venture Capitalists, M&As and business angels. While meanwhile competing for the FIRA USA Awards. The following startups will step onto the podium for their pitch on 22 October:

  • Agrikola AI (Spain)Amos Power (USA)
  • Barn Owl Precision Agriculture (USA)
  • Elemental Agronomy (Colorado)
  • Harvested Robotics (India)
  • Odd.Bot (The Netherlands)
  • Pixelfarming Robotics (The Netherlands)
  • The Smart Machine Company (New Zealand)
  • These startups qualified because they offer robotic solutions for farming only, are in a post-prototype stage and have not raised more than $10 million in funding.

Future Farming wants to talk to you

Future Farming’s editor René Koerhuis will be attending FIRA USA this year as well. He will be on the lookout for the newest developments, the latest news and growers wanting to share their firsthand experience with automation and robotics.

Also make sure you join his presentation on 23 October in ‘The Plaza’ from 3:00 to 3:20 pm. He will be sharing the latest insights in the ag robotics landscape, details on the numbers of field and harvest robots in operation and will shed a light on ‘What technology will lead the way: field robots or autonomous tractors?’.

    Free admission for growers

For the first time, farmers/growers have free admission to the entire event. Not only because the majority of autonomous solutions and field and harvest robots are dedicated to helping growers produce their crops more efficiently and more profitable. Also because FIRA USA is taking place in a region where a lot of different crops are grown.
