Kverneland upgrades Geocontrol software for sprayers

The latest updates to Kverneland Group’s IsoMatch Geocontrol software when installed on the Pro version of the IsoMatch Tellus terminal include an uprated section control application and a number of bug fixes designed to make operation as smooth as possible.

Variable rate application with Geocontrol

Geocontrol enables variable rate application and automatic working width adjustment with Vicon RotaFlow and Kverneland Exacta twin-disc fertiliser spreaders. It also provides boom section control on the group’s mounted, trailed and self-propelled sprayers.

Geocontrol is operated through the IsoMatch Tellus Go and higher-specification Tellus Pro in-cab terminals in combination with a vehicle location signal, which can be provided through the Kverneland IsoMatch Global antenna.

DGPS accuracy for section control

The latest version is re-styled and upgraded, and is designed to provide DGPS accuracy for section control, variable rate application, manual guidance and field registration without additional subscription fees for a correction signal.

Geocontrol software has also been upgraded with a big increase in the number of segments available in Section Control to cater for wider spreading fertiliser broadcasters and longer sprayer booms.

The current version operates 14 or 24 segments, each a minimum of 1m wide; but that is increased to 88 with the software upgrade to cater for the widest booms equipped with individual nozzle on/off control.

Geocontrol V1.06.1.1 with extended section control and bug fixes is only available for the higher-specification IsoMatch Tellus PRO terminal.

Section Control to save 5-8% of inputs

Section Control used to minimise double application where field passes converge can typically save 5-8% of inputs – depending on field size and shape – while keeping the agronomic consequences over-dosing fertilisers, especially nitrogen, to a minimum.

The upgraded V1.06.1.1 software is available only on IsoMatch Tellus PRO terminals and is available free to growers already using IsoMatch Geocontrol.
