Argentinian VAX agricultural robot to see at Expoagro 2024

Argentinian company Metalfor presented its VAX agricultural robot at Expoagro 2024 (March 5-8 – San Nicolás, Buenos Aires). This is the prototype of their project called Autonomous Vehicle X.

It is a multipurpose platform platform, designed to completely autonomously carry out different tasks in the field, such as fertilization, spraying, sowing and even harvesting. Maquinac mentions the VAX project. The project is developed together with the company Marinelli Technology, with the participation of designer José Luis Denari.

The prototype of the VAX agricultural robot was mounted on the base of a Metalfor 3025 self-propelled sprayer.

Range of utilities

The applications of the autonomous platform will expand their range of utilities according to the progress of the project. According to Daniel Brusa, Director of Engineering at Metalfor, “it is a pride for us to be able to think and act on one of the most outstanding topics of today, such as autonomous driving.”
