Fendt launches new operating concept for 300-vario

Fendt’s new operating concept for the 300-vario includes a new armrest, driving lever en up to 3 terminals.

Fendt totally revised the operating concept on the 300-vario. The armrest has been redesigned, just like the terminals and the multifunctional driving lever. Right behind the steering wheel there’s now also a 9-inch terminal, which can be set up as desired. Then there’s also a roof terminal, located at the right of the operator, which can be pulled down.

Clear overview for maximum comfort

With these 3 screens the operator can see all the information he needs, where he wants it. You could for instance choose to have the gps system right in front of you, or on the top screen, or on both. Everything has been designed in such a way that the operator has a clear overview, for maximum comfort.

The controls on the right armrest look quite complicated at a first glance, but also neatly arranged. What stands out is that the cross lever makes it possible to control up to 5 double acting valves. Located on the right of the armrest is the well-known rotary push button with which you can easily navigate your way through all the menus.

The paddles with which you control the hydraulics are equipped with LED-lighting. Depending on which valve you‘re controlling, the light changes colour.

Production of the new Fendt 300-series will commence in the autumn of 2019.

Dynamic Performance powerboost concept

Another new feature on the Fendt 300-vario is Dynamic Performance. A computer constantly analyses how much engine power is required, and increases or decreases power. For instance, if the cooling system demands 2 horsepower, the compressor requires 1 hp, the aircon 2 hp and the hydraulical system 5 hp, then the engine delivers 10 hp extra. The system also monitors other systems that require extra engine power, such as the lights on the tractor.
