WDM presents lightweight self-propelled implement carrier F-Trac
Walter Duivenvoorde Mechanisatie (WDM) is introducing the F-Trac, a lightweight self-propelled implement carrier, at the SMTB mechanisation trade fair in the Dutch village of Vijfhuizen.
The machinery manufacturer and mechanization company WDM, based in Noordwijkerhout (North Holland), known for its adjustable rims, is presenting the F-Trac at the Mechanisation Exhibition Bollenstreek (SMTB) in Vijfhuizen. The F-Trac was first announced last year and is now making its debut.
Weight around 3,000 kilograms
WDM estimates the new vehicle weighs approximately 3,000 kg. The F-Trac is equipped with 230/95 R32 tires in the front and slightly taller 230/95 R36 tires in the rear. The implement carrier uses front-wheel steering only. Currently, only the rear wheels are driven, but 4-wheel drive is available upon request.
Own cab
The F-Trac is powered by a 65-horsepower Kubota engine and features hydrostatic drive. In the low gear range, the machine can travel up to 6 km/h, while in high gear it reaches speeds of up to 25 km/h.
The cab, supplied by the Italian sprayer manufacturer Mazzotti, will be redesigned for future models since Mazzotti no longer produces these cabs new. WDM plans to develop its own cab for the next version of the F-Trac.
Front-Mounted Lifting System
The first F-Trac will go into operation this year. The model on display features only a front-mounted lifting system with hydraulic connections and a hydraulically driven PTO. According to WDM, it is also technically feasible to equip the self-propelled implement carrier with a rear lifting system.
