Topcon Agriculture, specialising in precision farming technologies, has announced a collaboration with Bonsai Robotics, active in vision-based autonomy for agriculture. The partnership aims to further automation in permanent crops by integrating Bonsai Robotics’ autonomous navigation systems with Topcon Agriculture’s autosteering, telematics, and smart implement controls.

The combined technology will help automate labour-intensive tasks, enhance data-driven decision-making, and improve precision harvesting in challenging environments. Farmers can expect greater efficiency and sustainability as a result of this collaboration.

AI-first approach

“At Bonsai Robotics, we are revolutionising orchard farming by automating some of the industry’s most challenging processes,” said Tyler Niday, CEO of Bonsai Robotics. “Joining forces with Topcon Agriculture allows us to integrate our AI-first approach to vision-based autonomy with their suite of precision sensors and smart implement controls, offering farmers seamless solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability.”

Antonio Marzia, EVP and GM of Topcon Agriculture, emphasised that the collaboration will help address critical pain points in orchard farming, including labor shortages and resource inefficiency. “Teaming with Bonsai Robotics extends our capability to globally deliver precision automation solutions,” he said.
