New products – Massey Ferguson Datatronic 5 touch display

They are operated through the new Datatronic 5 touch-screen display, which has a 9in screen in landscape format and can be set to ‘half screen’ mode to show two functions at the same time.

Main information is shown prominently in the centre, with activated features and functions stacked either side;

4 display sections can be swiped in and out to quickly access all relevant information:

The new Datatronic 5 integrated data processor and 9in display available for Massey Ferguson tractors can be used to set up and monitor and number of systems, including electric spool valves, auto 4-wheel drive disengage and diff lock operation.

The display is operated tapping or swiping the touch screen or using a scroll wheel at the side, and 4 hot keys on the frame:

2. Return
3. Home
4. Main Screen Mode, which provides full-screen displays of tractor setting functions, guidance and camera.

Joystick or buttons

Isobus implement control includes the ability to assign functions to a joystick or buttons on the MF MultiPad when fitted to operate transmission, engine speed and hydraulic functions.

Functions can be allocated via the display to a joystick or the tractor’s MultiPad multiple function transmission controller when fitted.

Auto-Guide steering

Auto-Guide steering is also operated through the display, with a fast set-up function giving a choice of A-B line, A+heading, Centre Pivot and Curved Line guidance using GNSS receiver options from NovAtel and Trimble for different services, correction signals and accuracy levels.

Optional features

Optional precision farming features are available individually or as a package that adds mapping, automatic section control, variable rate application, record keeping and machine monitoring.

The terminal’s isobus compatibility means it can operate any isobus-compliant implement.

TaskDoc records data

TaskDoc records data to create field records, log fuel use and make job reports; data is transferred wirelessly as required but TaskDoc Pro, which adds GNSS position data, transfers ISOMXL files transfers automatically to compatible field management and mapping software.

Regulating working width of seed drills, spreaders and spayers

AgControl is a section control function with up to 24 steps available to regulate the working width of seed drills, spreaders and sprayers, while VariableRateControl translates prescription maps into action.

Data collection and management telemetry system

AGCO’s AgCommand machine location, data collection and management telemetry system is also available; and so is a second linked display unit so that multiple tasks can be visible at once.
