French company Drone Volt launches a new version of the Hercules 20, a professional heavy lift drone.

The new Drone Volt Hercules 20 drone can carry up to 25 kg on inspection mapping, materials transport and spraying missions. The Hercules 20 drone is powered by 8 motors. The Hercules 20 is often used for spraying in agriculture. Watch the video below this article to see how that works.

According to Drone Volt, the latest generation offers numerous advantages:

  • The ergonomic and intuitive Drone Volt Control, the veritable brain of the drone, allows flight programming with altitude control
  • Greater lifting capacity
  • Increased maximum thrust for each motor with an increase in the size of the propellers to 26 inches (around 66 cm environ) giving greater power
  • Increased flight time
  • A frame that stands out by its rigidity, giving it solidity and resistance
  • The removable arms and feet make the drone ultra-compact and easy to transport

Hercules 20 drone is versatile tool

“The combination of these advantages make this platform an ideal versatile tool for an endless range of applications,” says Drone Volt.

The Hercules 20 is particularly recommended for missions requiring the carrying of large payloads such as:

  • Surveillance and inspection with the help of hefty onboard sensors and cameras
  • Mapping/topography involving lidars and laser scanners
  • Materials transport
  • Filming for the film industry, notably blockbusters
  • Spraying thanks to its ability to carry heavy reservoirs.

Greater autonomy

“Our engineering team has accomplished a technological feat through the development of this new version of the Hercules,” stated Olivier Gualdoni, the chairman, CEO of Drone Volt. “This heavy lift drone is certainly the most impressive drone produced by Drone Volt. It offers greater

autonomy when compared to its payload. Easily transportable, it is the ideal auxiliary for the carrying out of a wide range of potentially laborious or dangerous missions.”
