An all-new implement control terminal with ‘hidden’ virtual buttons has been developed by Amazone as a next generation AmaTron controller.
The AmaTron4 has Isobus capability for setting up, operating and monitoring compliant implements, and offers built-in precision farming functions available for a fee after an initial 50 hour free trial period. New ‘proximity detection’ technology ensures that the entire 8 inch colour touch screen is available to display information; virtual buttons for selecting active functions such as guidance or an auxiliary controller, appear only when the operator’s hand gets close.
Screen swiping enables navigation through the operational menu and a configurable status bar along the top of the screen constantly shows the chosen parameters and information tabs. In addition to a physical on-off button to the left of the colour screen, the AmaTron4 has 12 soft keys arranged in 2 rows to the right, with 3 quick navigation keys – Home, Machine and gps – located above them on a raised hand-grip.
A quick-start menu and straight-forward data import/export are promised and the screen brightness adjusts automatically to ambient conditions in both day and night modes. Fee-based pre-installed functions comprise Amazone gps-switch basic or gps-switch pro automatic headland and part-width section control, work reports and job management using gps-maps&doc, the gps-track parallel driving aid and AmaCam for a remote camera feed that automatically acts as a vehicle reversing camera.
