Description
The FarmBot Genesis is powered by electrical plug-in and currently operates on plots up to 3m x 6m. The robot can be used for outdoor growing or in a greenhouse or controlled environment building. It can plant seeds, perform watering tasks, and do weeding. The FarmBot Genesis v1.6 is tethered by a power cord and watering hose and can run indefinitely producing garden vegetables without any limitation on energy. The FarmBot is 100% open source. All engineering designs, CAD models and software codes are available online for free. Users can design their own tools and custom software.

The FarmBot Genesis can plant seeds, perform watering tasks, take photos and identify weeds and other objects in the garden service area. It can also perform routine weeding and test soil moisture levels. The FarmBot Genesis has 4 motors, two X-Axis motors, one Y-Axis motor and one Z-Axis motor. These motors power the movement of the tool head in the 3D space above the growing area. The FarmBot has a USB camera and it is able to take high definition photos of the growing area. The FarmBot can operate from a wi-fi or ethernet internet connection.
