Solar-battery powered spraying robot Ecorobotix Avo is developed for targeted application of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and fertiliser by camera recognition in row crops, meadows and intercropping cultures. It uses RTK GPS, AI and vision to detect and selectively spray weeds with a micro-dose of herbicide. The centimetre-precise detection and spraying reduces the volume of herbicides used by up to 95%. The most striking detail is the spot spraying technology with up to 24 cm² spray resolution on the ground. There are currently a total of five units active in France, Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
Availability: In 2021 the Ecorobotix Avo will be tested further and 15 zero series models will follow in 2022 costing around € 90,000. Ecorobotix plans to have another robot on sale in the spring of 2021 but doesn’t want to reveal any details yet.
