Robot: EcominoS
Task(s): Remove weeds organically
Development start: 2022
Pricing: €18,000
Manufacturer: Orbiba Robotics (Turkey)
Description
Our autonomous agricultural robot uses advanced sensors and AI-powered analysis to detect and remove weeds without chemicals. Its modular design allows it to adapt to different crops and field conditions. Equipped with regenerative cutting and row-top weeding modules, it eliminates weeds while preserving soil health. The robot collects and analyses data, providing farmers with valuable insights to enhance productivity. It operates autonomously for 6 to 8 hours and its combination of sustainability, precision, and adaptability makes it a game-changer for modern, data-driven agriculture.
Drive train type
The robot features an electric driveline powered by high-efficiency motors. It is equipped with 4×500 Watt motors, enabling smooth and precise movement across various field conditions. The electric system ensures energy efficiency, low maintenance, and quiet operation, making it ideal for sustainable farming.
Characteristics
The robot weighs 110 kg and with dimensions of 106 x 65 x 95 centimetres, the robot offers 6 to 8 hours of operation time with a full charge and can be fully charged in 3 hours. The lifting capacity is 100 kg while the load carrying capacity is 200 kg.
Navigation system
Orbiba Robotics weeding robot navigates using RTK-gps, LiDAR, computer vision and sensor fusion for precise movement. RTK-gps provides centimetre-level accuracy, while LiDAR and depth cameras create 3D maps for obstacle detection. The robot follows pre-planned paths but adjusts in real time using AI-driven path planning. Computer vision and deep learning detect crops, terrain, and obstacles, while motion sensors identify humans and animals. Onboard processing ensures fast decision-making and safety mechanisms like proximity sensors trigger emergency stops.
