New Holland introduces smaller ‘Giga-Combine’ CR10

Machine manufacturer New Holland showcased the new CR11 combine harvester at Agritechnica 2023. Now, the manufacturer is adding a smaller version to the lineup: the CR10.

New Holland introduces a new combine model as a smaller variant of the prominently presented CR11 in 2023. The CR10, as the smaller combine is called, is fundamentally similar to the larger CR11. It features the same threshing rotors (two 600 mm rotors). The sieve system is also identical, with 8.76 square meters of area.

12.9-liter FPT Engine with 635 HP

The main difference lies in the engines. The CR10 has a 12.9-liter FPT engine with 635 HP, while the larger CR11 boasts a 15.9-liter engine with 775 HP. The grain tank and unloading capacity of the CR10 are also slightly smaller, with a 16,000-liter bunker and 159 l/s unloading speed. In comparison, the CR11 has a bunker capacity of 20,000 liters and an unloading speed of 210 l/s.

Lateral shaking mechanism

Like its larger counterpart, the CR10 is built in Zedelgem, Belgium. The machine features two longitudinal threshing rotors (each 24 inches).

Noteworthy is the new sieve shaking technology that New Holland introduced with the CR11. Using pressure sensors, the distribution on the sieves is measured. If necessary, a mechanism shakes the material from side to side, ensuring optimal grain distribution across the sieves.

Just like the CR11, the smaller combine harvester CR10 features the new design. The machine is built in Zedelgem, Belgium.

Three track widths available

The CR10 comes with header widths ranging from 10.6 to 15 meters, or a corn harvesting attachment with 12 to 16 rows. Three track widths are available: 66, 81, and 91 cm. The total machine width is then respectively 3.49, 3.79, or 3.99 meters. The CR10 is also available on front wheels, such as VF 900/65 R46.
