The Swedish manufacturer Väderstad is introducing its new electronic WSX system for its Tempo F, Tempo V, and Tempo L seed drills at the Danish agricultural trade fair Agromek.

Väderstad is upgrading its Tempo seed drills with the new electronic WSX system (Weed Singulation eXtended). The manufacturer is presenting the system at Agromek, held from November 26 to 29 in Herning, Denmark. According to Väderstad, this system ensures more precise seed placement by the Tempo seed drills.

Three new features in the WSX electronic system

The WSX electronic system includes the following three features:

Automatic Seed Sorting: This function separates and sorts seeds based on size and weight.

Active Hydraulic Pressure Control Per Row Unit: This feature applies additional pressure to the seed coulters, ensuring consistent seeding depth and soil contact, even on uneven terrain, according to the manufacturer.

Curve Compensation: This ensures uniform seeding across the entire width of the machine when turning. Curve compensation reduces the dosing rate for the inner seed rows during a turn while increasing it for the outer rows.

The three features of the WSX electronic system—automatic seed sorting, active hydraulic pressure control per row unit, and curve compensation—are designed to enhance seeding performance.

Uniform seed placement and improved crop emergence

The electronic system ensures more precise seed placement, resulting in uniform seed distribution and improved crop emergence, according to the manufacturer. The WSX electronic system will be available this year on the Tempo L 8-32, V 6-12, and F 6-8 seed drills.

The three new features of the electronic WSX system are: automatic seed sorting, active hydraulic pressure control per row unit, and curve compensation.
