The French machinery manufacturer Kverneland has announced an expansion at its production site in France, responding to the rising global demand for soil cultivation and mechanical weeding equipment.

Kverneland’s investment in the factory at Les Landes-Genusson (France) aims to double production capacity for both Kubota and Kverneland machines.

The expansion includes the acquisition of an additional 17,605 m² of land, increasing the total factory area to 5.5 hectares. The production hall will be enlarged from 13,200 m² to 20,000 m² and upgraded with new facilities for welding, painting, assembly, and research & development.

Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) will be introduced in the production halls. Additionally, 2 solar energy systems with a capacity of 770 kWp will be installed on the buildings and the covered parking spaces for employees.

Expected completion in mid-2026

Kverneland expects the factory expansion to be completed by mid-2026. As a result, production capacity for larger machines, such as the Qualidisc disc harrow and the Onyx hoe, will be increased to meet demand, according to the manufacturer.
