The German-American company Reichhardt has launched the Green Fit system. With this system the automatic GPS steering system AutoTrac from John Deere can also be used on other brands of tractors.
John Deere says it was prohibited from getting direct access to competitors’ software to install AutoTrac. And with this piece of software they now have the link that would make AutoTrac universally usable. The software meets the standards of Deere.
The system is to be launched on the tractor brands of Agco (Fendt and Challenger) Later on, AutoTrac also has to start running on the steering guidance sensors that Reichhardt makes itself.
Reichhardt has been an important partner of John Deere for many years.
